Your role

Amdocs Philippines is looking for aspiring programmers to fill the role of Java Developer.

The role is responsible for design, development, modification, debug and/or maintenance of software systems.

Some main duties include:

• Designing, developing, modifying, debugging and/or maintaining software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
• Following Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and releasing processes, to ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, and demo the software products to stakeholders.
• Investigating issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
• Working within a team, collaborating and adding value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions, and working with cross functional teams to achieve goals.
• Assuming technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and providing technical support during solution design for new requirements.
• Actively looking for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.

About you

To be considered in the role, you must have these qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in science/IT/Computer Science or equivalent
• 0-11 months' work experience in Core Java (OMS, CRM, ARIC). With basic knowledge in Python, SQL, UNIX, Linux, Shell/ Perl scripting. 
• Willing to work on a Dayshift, Hybrid set- up (Work from home + 3x per week work on site in BGC/Ortigas).
• With background and understanding in Software Development Life Cycle. 
• With knowledge in Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)- good-to-have.
