Your role & responsibilities

 As a Settlement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the post-settlement process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is compiled accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for calculating settlement amounts, communicating with clients, and providing exceptional service throughout the settlement process. 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive settlement breakdown information from the attorney to initiate the settlement process.
  • Maintain accurate records and diligently follow up on settlement releases with insurance companies.
  • Prepare settlement documents for review by the attorney and ensure they are ready for the client's signature.
  • Utilize math skills to accurately calculate the amount owed to the client after deducting fees and costs.
  • Send settlement documents to clients for signature and notarization, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to obtain signed settlement documents and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Provide prompt and helpful assistance to clients with questions regarding the settlement documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients via phone calls and emails, providing updates on the status of their settlement checks.

About you

Requirements/skills:

  • Proficient in performing calculations related to settlement amounts and deductions.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the completeness of settlement documents.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to assist clients with empathy and professionalism.
  • Efficiently manage tasks and follow-up activities to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Able to handle multiple cases simultaneously and keep track of various settlement processes.
  • Comfortable using virtual communication tools, email, and document management systems.

Working Hours:  Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Hollywood, FL EST with a 30-minute unpaid break.
