Your role & responsibilities

This role utilizes JDE, SAP PCH, FI, and BI modules, financial controls, and critical reasoning to support payroll and burden accounting, cost distribution, and decision support. The position deals with highly sensitive employee information and requires strict adherence to Chevron's Data Privacy and Information Protection policies and procedures.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform finance and tax-related processes which include distribution of payroll burden to multiple operating units, master data maintenance, ESIP reconciliations, and funding, payments to third parties, expatriate payroll distribution, periodic and ad hoc analysis, and other tasks, as assigned.
  • Record payroll results in the general ledger in coordination with Payroll teams. Perform detailed analysis and control validation, identify and facilitate resolution of any issues, and provide timely reporting to management.
  • Perform account reconciliation, analysis, and controls by established standards and maintain up-to-date procedural documentation.
  • Provides payroll accounting and decision support expertise and guidance to staff, management, BUs, and other departments.
  • Represent Payroll on Corporate, Finance, HR, IT, and BU initiatives and projects (e.g. Finance LEAP).
  • Handles sensitive personal data.
