The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for the timely, accurate, and quality acquisition of needed products at the lowest possible price.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate the offers of suppliers based on quality, cost, service, and other factors to ensure optimal value for the company
- Collaborate with different departments to understand purchasing needs and requirements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise
- Coordinate logistics for shipments and deliveries, including arranging transportation and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Conduct comprehensive market scan to ensure competitive pricing
- Other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
