Application Process & Interviews at Emerson

The interview process ran smoothly.

As an applicant for the position of Finance Intern, I was first got a call from the HR department and discuss the general information about my internship. After that, I got a schedule for my next interview with the operation manager of the team where I'll be joining. Thus, I can that the interview process was fine as each interview asked me if the initial schedule is my free time or not.

The interview process consisted of final and initial interviews.

The interview is spontaneous, light, and conversational. Interviewers are very professiona land have a positive approach.

The interview process is well-organized, they provide instructions for each step and will guide you along the process until you onboard.

The interview process in Emerson was easy because the HR will guide you all through the hiring processes. Also, if you have any clarifications or question, they will respond as soon as possible.

The interview process was smooth the meeting was set ahead of time that applicants can prepare well. Interviewers are easy to spoke with they are not intimidating to ask questions.

The interview process and assessment are simultaneous.

It was a quick interview process.

It's nerve-wracking. I remember being so nervous during all three interviews. I also remember being told that I had good communication skills, but I tend to speak really fast, and that is because of the nervousness that I felt during that time. After my interviews and while I'm waiting for the results, I'm praying that I get hired as I really want to work in this company. And now, I'm here, working in the company that I prayed and worked hard for.

With the representative from the HR department, I was asked information about my internship. Some questions include the following: - What is the duration of my internship? - What are the requirements from both the company and school that I'll be needing to comply with? - Am I okay with the hybrid set-up? - Do I have an internet connection at home as part of the work from home set-up? - Is it okay to work during weekdays? What will be my expected schedule? (Since I have other subjects I need to attend physically at school) With the operation manager from the General Ledger, I was asked information about my current skills and knowledge about what the general ledger does after sharing some of our stories to know each other. Some questions include the following: - Am I fond of using excel? - Do I know what kind information is being process in the General Ledger? - Do I know what is the purpose of the General Ledger? - When do we close the books? - Am I familiar with bank reconciliation, depreciation, validation of invoices, matching documents, etc.? - Am I ready with this diverse work since I'll be part of the General Ledger?

What makes you want to apply in Emerson? What made you interested in applying to the position? From everything you've learned about the role, tell me how you feel you'd contribute.

I asked about the culture in the company, and the team that I will be working with. I also asked about the benefits I can expect and what are the things that I can improve for my final interviews.

If the Accountancy Course is my choice. Second, what's my biggest struggle being a student, friend, and child (as individual). Third, the lesson that I learn to that struggle. And the last I remember, what I can contribute to the company.

The typical interview questions like, "can you tell me more about yourself?", "what is your long-term career plan here at Emerson?", "How's your relationship with your teammates?", etc.

Strength and weaknesses, day to day responsibilities of a collections associate, how to manage irate customers, how to handle stress, and how do you see yourself 5 years from now.

During my interviews they asked me about behavioral questions regarding with customer service. While for me, I asked them about what's your favorite part in working here and what does a typical day look like in this role.

The questions asked in my interview are tell me about yourself and your aspirations, how do you overcome your challenges in your life and as a scholar. What are your realizations as a scholar and what are your key learnings about it, what do you think are the qualities that has an intern should have?

Mostly regarding my personal experiences and insights about different scenarios.

I was asked if I already have a knowledge about Accounts Payable.

Questions about my college and internship experience; my expectations for this job; what I know about the job the I was applying to. My skills and experience etc.

Be authentic and research about the company to understand more if they align with your values.

Have a company background check of the company you are applying for. Prepare and practice to answer possible interview questions. Identify if your qualifications align with the position you are applying for. Be honest in answering questions during interviews.

I suggest they research thoroughly about the company and just be prepared of the most common questions that interviews tackle.

Research on the company, watched sample interviews, research and answer the possible questions they might ask, come well-prepared, don't panic, come on time and just be yourself answering the question but with the right answer.

Just be confident all the time and make sure you listen carefully to someone who's doing the interview. Also, review the job description of the role you're applying to and all the possible questions that you think interviewer may ask.

My advice to a future candidate who wants to apply in the Emerson are to research the company's background, cultures, values, and mission. Also, to practice common interview question and discuss your qualities and experiences.

The best tips I can recommend to candidates that are applying in the company are: 1. Have a good sleep before attending the interview 2. Be true and honest. 3. They must also do some research on the company's background as well as the company's value and checked if it is aligned with their own values. 4. Know the job position you are applying to. (Make sure to have an insight on the job role you are applying to)

I recommend studying the position they're applying for. Opportunities are always there, but that doesn't mean everything at hand is for you. They should pursue careers according to their capabilities, potential, and goals.

Just be their self and be confident to their answers.

Be yourself, be confident and honest to your answer. It's normal to be nervous but just relax when the interview is ongoing and think that the interviewer is just your friend. Be comfortable.

You know yourself better than the interviewers, so be yourself and confident. Don't let your emotions consume you.

Do some research before interview and prepare as it is the last chance.

Be prepared and be honest. Just be yourself and express what you want to express. Set your mindset that this is the job that you want to have, and this will help you focus more.

My advice for candidates who are applying to my company is that just be yourself, relax, and be honest and be confident.

All I can say is that they just need to act and express who they really are, don't pretend on things which they didn't really have. Also, they need to formulate multiple answers in different scenarios.
