Career Prospects at ING Hubs Philippines

I would say that the promotion and career progression opportunities at ING are great. Act like the role you want to have and you will have it.

As for my colleagues, you should be responsible enough to take more complex stories. You take it on and make it happen by reaching your goal to be successful. You help others by sharing your knowledge and aspire fellow colleagues.

We were not informed yet about these types of opportunities but based on conversations with other employees and interns, ING provides opportunities for interns to be absorbed as a full-time employee. This is great to hear, especially for interns that are nearing towards the end of their undergraduate studies.

I cannot say at this moment in time, but there are pre requisites for graduate trainees to be eligible to move to the next rotation. One of it is the aforementioned project, but to be honest it is really a challenge to handle it or even implement it considering the limitations of the external factors around you.

You have the chance to get promoted even just one year into your employment but it all ultimately depends on your performance.

Even if my company tenure is less than a year, I have a clear path of my job progression and I have the help and advice of my managers to help me achieve them. They specifically mentioned about taking in small tasks of engineers of the next level to help convince I am capable of leveling up in the company.

There's a clear evaluation and you can ask your manager what to do to earn the promotion. They also listen when you talk about your career aspirations so you would be provided with opportunities that aligns with them.

There is a KPI that contains the criteria that an employee needs to hit for their level. They also use this for the basis of promotion (especially if the employee was able to surpass it).

As a graduate trainee, we have a career path to follow which makes it easier to rank up in the company. But of course, there are certain expectations that needs to be met.

The usual track for promotion is after three years, but after undergoing the graduate program you are eligible for a promotion after two years.

I'm not sure if this counts but I was offered a position so...it's great! :D

As I am new, I may not know the entire career progression progress but I'm glad that they take into consideration my goals for the fiscal year and the career I want to pursue with in the future as well.

It's quite unrealistic because one must have enough experience before getting promoted. At this point, we make mistakes in our files and there are some findings, and we fear that there will be major findings once we get promoted into our next role.

In terms of career progression, there is definately an advantage/benefit for me given that I am in a program. However, progression is slow in terms of promotions since there is only an X number of slots available for those who can attain that.

You can really feel the growth and career progression as you rotate in your Graduate Trainee Program.

I really want to stay in ING but my department is not open for hiring. Also, one of the old interns I work with has been here for more than 6 months, and he's still an intern. I hope more opportunities will be open for my department so our time here as an intern will develop to something else more.

Well so far learning about the promotion opportunities and the ranks in the company is that, if you deserve it, then you will receive it. It is very non-bias and objective in terms of promotions
