Junior Data Analyst - Financial Market Data null

Your role

This is an ideal position for a new college graduate who is looking for a position that is going to be challenging, demands high performance, but will give them hands-on experience working with big data, and financial analytics.

As a Junior Data Analyst, you have the following responsibilities:

• Contribute to research efforts to maintain an up-to-date database for global mutual fund products.
• Collect data based on established methodologies and comply with established work processes and performance standards to ensure timely and high-quality data.
• Effectively utilize databases, internal applications, and the Internet to complete research.
• Recognize and report problems for review by Senior Research Analysts.
• Participate in data quality assurance efforts, including performing root-cause analysis for identified data quality issues.
• Support relevant process improvement and technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables.
• Help maintain documentation of work processes and institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database.
• Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.

About you

To apply, you must have the following qualifications & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree graduate in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or any closely related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professional, technical, and administrative staff and to integrate resources on a timely and organized basis.
• Strong mathematical skills and has demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical-thinking skills.
•  Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:

• Knowledge of the mutual fund industry.
• Knowledge of variable contracts or mutual fund fee structures a plus.
• Experience using Excel to manipulate and prepare financial data a plus.

Work Location & Schedule:

• Amenable to working at Makati City (willing to workday or mid shifts as business requires).
• The first 2-6 months of the probationary period will be on the non-traditional shift (3 pm-12 am MNL time) then transition to the traditional shift (12 pm-9 pm MNL time) following the hiring team’s decision.
• Amenable to go on a 2–6-month 100% onsite training before transitioning to a hybrid working arrangement.
• Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days' work onsite per week).
