What does a Utilization Review Nurse do?

As a UR Nurse, you will perform frequent case reviews, check medical records, speak with patients and care providers regarding treatment, and respond to the plan of care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for evaluating and screening potential admissions to the facility.
• Conducts utilization reviews to determine if patients are receiving care appropriate to illness or condition.
• Consults with medical and treatment staff regarding client diagNosis, medical justification, length of treatment, and case documentation.
• Communicate with physicians to ascertain their plans for a timely discharge.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients and healthcare providers

MUST HAVEs:

• Holds a valid US license, active for a minimum of 6 months
• Has an active PRC license, valid for at least 6 months
• Has a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
