About P&A Grant Thornton

P&A Grant Thornton was established in 1988, led by two prominent accountants in the Philippines, Benjamin R. Punongbayan & Jose G. Araullo, hence the name P&A. It is the Philippine member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, one of the world’s leading accounting and consulting firms.

Your role & responsibilities

  • Compile and sort documents
  • Calculate and verify amounts
  • Perform reconciliation procedures (books versus supporting documents, general vs subsidiary ledgers)
  • Post transactions to accounts and month-end reconciliations
  • Analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports as necessary
  • Help with other office duties as necessary

Training & development

As a thought leader in the industry, P&A Grant Thornton regularly conducts educational projects and webinars on key topics, headed by either the leaders or by invited guest experts, that fresh grads can easily access. These webinars are hosted in addition to skills-based internal learning sessions held per division or with the greater Grant Thornton network.

Beyond learning the values of P&A Grant Thornton, their onboarding program also has an extensive “Campus to Corporate” module to help fresh grads adjust to the ins and outs of the corporate world.

Benefits

P&A Grant Thornton offers holistic support on all people-related issues, linking benefits into a wider context such as:

  • Training and skills,
  • Well-being, inclusion, and diversity
  • Culture.

By considering benefits in a broader sense, they can ensure employees get the most out of them and maximize the value for you.

Career progression

At Grant Thornton, they have an ambition to grow, which creates an environment to support the ongoing development of their people, both graduate and experienced hires. Specific tools and programs are available to reflect our commitment to this area.

A rigorous performance management process ensures individuals have goals, a development plan, and an annual appraisal. Coaching, learning on the job, global assignments, and learning programs are key examples of how we support ongoing development.

Work-life balance

They have always believed that keeping employees happy and satisfied is equally beneficial for the company. That’s why, striking a work-life balance is one of their Firm’s priorities. In the end, when employees are happy, they are less prone to work burnout and stress; thus, they are more productive in the workplace.

Company culture

At Grant Thornton, they maintain a mindset that advocates for going beyond in everything that they do – this promotes their culture that steers away from the norm. This distinctive approach combines genuine care for your business, increased agility, diverse perspectives, high-quality service, and fresh solutions. They believe this combination results in stronger collaboration, a deeper understanding of their clients’ agendas, and ultimately, more valuable and meaningful advice.
