A reporter will work with beat reporters/correspondents in covering big breaking stories/special assignments and develop a specialization in various fields such as economics, politics, environment, science, foreign affairs, and others.
Job Requirements:
- College graduate preferably major in Journalism, Mass Communication, Economics or any course/s related to Social Sciences and/or Liberal Arts
- 2 to 3 years experience as a Reporter in print or in any Multimedia platform
- Sharper sense/ nose for news, greater latitude in choosing story angles
- Exposure to Multimedia Platforms other than breaking news
- Familiar and equipped with writing tools to help him master word choice, sentence structure and architecture; interview
- Must have a basic understanding of media laws and ethics especially those on accuracy and libel. Knows the fundamentals of journalism
- Understands social media as well as its rights and responsibilities
- Aware of Inquirer's heritage and history in restoration of democracy, bringing about the EDSA People Power Revolt in 1986
