Collect and analyze information of interest, including crime, government and breaking news, and broadcast it to the public. Gather information, write coverage, conduct interviews, report on-air and edit broadcasts.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops story ideas, performs research, interview people, writes their stories and broadcasts
- reports.
- Respond to breaking news stories
- Report on entertainment, sports or news events.
- Manages social media presence for news gathering, distribution and branding purposes.
- Produces news as assigned by the news director.
- Collect information on assigned topics to report accurate and timely news.
- Generate new and interesting news stories to cover and look for unique, relevant and urgent
- topics for the news.
- Broadcast current and accurate information to consumers.
- Conduct interviews in broadcast live or pre-recorded and do research for the interview.
- Select and researches topics; contacts and interviews sources; maintains notes, recordings and files.
